Tomatoes require 1 to 2 inches of water per week to encourage a healthy root system.
Water the seedlings twice a day. Water in the early morning. Water again in the early afternoon. Nursery bed must be watered before transplanting to reduce plant shock and avoid damaging the seedlings.
Harvest regularly to promote fruit production. Avoid pulling on fruit when picking, as this can break the tender tomato branches. Harvest using garden pruners or by twisting the fruit until it comes free from the vine.
